A revolutionary generation of Epson all-in-one cash registers enters the market with the Epson IR-700. At first glance, the new
“cash register flagship” is characterised by its straightforward design. Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that Epson has succeeded in combining maximum benefit with minimal size. The ergonomic cash register system features convenient use of all functions
and options. But not only the sophisticated design distinguishes the
Epson IR-700 from its established predecessor IR-320: Intel Celeron M and Pentium M processors ensure high performance at
extremely low noise level and power consumption. In addition to the
brilliant 12.1 inch SVGA or 15 inch XGA display featuring a touch
screen, the increased flexibility of the system via an integrated
CompactFlash slot and new wireless LAN and peripheral options
facilitate everyday work. The performance, adaptability and reliability of an outstanding brand on a footprint of just 250 x 340 mm: The
Epson IR-700 provides convenience and efficiency in the cash
register operation of specialty retailers and resellers, grocery markets and the hospitality segment as well as point of information
stations.

The features set standards: the rapid high-performance of the Epson IR-700’s Intel Pentium M 1.8 GHz and Intel Celeron M 1.3 GHz
processors is reflected neither in the noise level nor power consumption – on the contrary. On average, Intel Pentium M processors consume less than a tenth of the energy of a comparable Pentium 4 processor. Based on daily 24-hour cash register operation,
this results in annual savings of up to EUR 200!
The cash register system’s 15-inch TFT touch screen is extremely
bright and is also suitable for use in light rooms. In addition to
toughness with regard to splashing, the specially-treated screen is
also fingerprint resistant. The standard “Dual Screen Function”
even enables operation of a further screen, for example to display
promotions to customers via an additional application, generating
improved sales.
The integrated Epson TM-T88IIIX thermal printer is based on the
leading global PoS-printer Epson TM-T88III. Maintenance-free and
featuring “drop in” paper changing, it ensures rapid printing of
neatly-edged receipts in usual Epson quality!

used, upgrading the system is easy – the Epson IR-700 is perfectly
equipped for the future. In combination with the RAID controller, a
further 3.5-inch hard drive ensures outstanding reliability as well as
automatic data storage and easy installation. This system also puts
an end to cable clutter at PoS: One single power cable is required
for the entire cash register system and network integration is even
simple for novices thanks to the network interface or the optional
Epson wireless LAN card. Furthermore, 4 rapid USB 2.0 and 4 free
serial ports, parallel and PS/2 interfaces fulfil all requirements regarding peripheral connections.
At 250 x 340 mm, the footprint of the Epson IR-700 is extremely
compact. This can even be reduced to 250 x 260 mm thanks to the
kiosk kit for positioning the cash register vertically. Thus, the cash
register system is also ideal for the smallest spaces. Furthermore,
it features a “minimal profile“ due to its compact dimensions and

Reliability is THE key criterion of excellent cash register systems –
if the cash register is unstable, sales are at risk. Thus, every component of the Epson IR-700 is extremely robust and durable. The
operating life of components is well above average even when in
use “around the clock”. Epson’s comprehensive maintenance software reduces failures and provides extensive remote diagnosis
and backup functions via ISDN, internet or LAN. The system’s serviceability is beneficial in case upgrade is required. Whether motherboard, hard drives, printers or monitors, all components can be
accessed or exchanged rapidly and easily. Time required: less than
5 minutes.

For an entire year, on-site service is included in the purchase price
of the IR-700 as well as the other cash register systems SR and
