Starting a game: Before use, carefully read the instructions supplied with the PS3™
computer entertainment system. The documentation contains information on setting up and
using your system as well as important safety information.
Check that the MAIN POWER switch (located on the system rear) is turned on. Insert the
FALLING SKIES: THE GAME disc with the label facing up into the disc slot. Select the icon for the
software title under [Game] in the PS3™ system’s home menu, and then press the S button.
Refer to this manual for information on using the software.
Quitting a game: During gameplay, press and hold down the PS button on the wireless
controller for at least 2 seconds. Then select “Quit Game” from the screen that is displayed.
Hint
To remove a disc, touch the eject button after quitting the game.
Trophies: Earn, compare and share trophies that you earn by making specific in-game
accomplishments. Trophies access requires a PlayStation®Network account.

Saved data for PS3™ format software is saved on the system’s hard disk.

TURN-BASED COMBAT
The action unfolds over a sequence of rounds, during which each unit of one side will
take a turn, followed by the units of the other side. Units can only act by spending Action
Points (AP). Most actions cost 1 AP, and each unit gets 2 AP per turn. As units level
up, they will learn new abilities based on their class, but the following basic abilities are
available to all classes from the beginning:
•
Move: Move to the target location. Moving beyond the blue region costs 2 AP.
•
Attack: Perform a basic attack with the current weapon. Uses ammo.
•
Defend: Crouch, reducing the unit’s chance to be hit. Ends turn when used.
•
Reload: Refill the ammo meter of the current weapon.
•
Swap Weapons: Swap between primary and secondary weapons. Uses no AP.
•
Use Item: Use the currently equipped utility item.

BASE CAMP
Each area within the Base Camp serves a vital purpose, so be sure to visit these often in
order to maximize your squad’s combat potential. (See online manual for more info.)
WAR ROOM
View all available objectives, then select a squad to deploy on your next mission.
Successfully completing any mission will award a certain amount of Food, Metal, or
Medical Supplies for use in researching upgrades or crafting new equipment.
•
Squad Missions: Deploy a full squad to complete the selected objective. While
fighting at these locations, keep an eye out for hidden caches that may contain
useful supplies.
•
Dispatch Missions: Send a single unit to search for additional resources. Units
selected for these missions will be unavailable for Squad missions until they return,
but will gain experience if they are successful.
ARMORY
Recruit new squad members from among the available volunteers, retrain a unit’s skill
points, or research a variety of squad enhancements.
WORKSHOP
Research new and upgraded weapons, ammunition, armor and other combat equipment
to add to your arsenal.
INFIRMARY
Check on the recovery status of squad members injured during battle, and research new
utility items and defensive upgrades.
MEMORIAL
View information on your fallen comrades who perished bravely in the defense of Earth.

COMBATE
ACCIONES
